Vintage Gino Fort Vetri Molati Murano Faceted Sommerso “Geode” Bowl — Aqua Blue in Clear, c. 1960s
culptural mid-century Murano glass bowl by Forti (Vetri Molati), finished with their signature diamond-like facets. The piece features an aqua/teal sommerso core cased in thick crystal clear glass, producing dramatic optical reflections. The well is softly squared with rounded corners; rim and base are fully polished. Retains the original Forti “Vetri Molati – Murano Venezia” label on the side.
Use as a vide-poche/catchall, ashtray, or simply as a striking MCM accent. Substantial weight with superb light refraction.

Striking mid-century Murano glass bowl in the classic “geode” form, with an emerald-green core submerged in a warm amber layer and encased in thick clear crystal (sommerso technique). The heavy, prism-cut body has sharp, polished facets with a square/rounded well and a crisp geometric profile, characteristic of Mandruzzato workshop pieces from the 1960s–70s. Unsigned (as many were). Perfect as a sculptural catchall, ashtray, or paperweight; wonderful optical effects under light.
